The BAPG would like to extend a warm welcome to Brad Gill from the Independent Oil and Gas Association of New York (IOGANY).  Brad will be talking about the Marcellus Shale for our November Meeting.  The Marcellus Shale is the hotly debated gas reserve in NY, PA, WV and several other states in the east.  Brad's talk will focus on New York State and the Marcellus Shale, policies, regulations, and geologic background.
Brad has been involved in the oil and gas industry for 30 years and is currently executive director of IOGANY.  IOGANY is an oil and gas industry trade association comprised of about 400 members from all facets of the industry including oil and gas operating companies of all sizes, service companies, contractors, professionals, pipeline companies, utilities, and more. Brad spends much of his time addressing public education and media relations issues.  He also interacts frequently with our legislators, attorney general’s office, governor’s office and the NYSDEC in Albany on behalf of the oil and gas industry.
Brad is a certified petroleum geologist and President of Earth Energy Consultants – a geological consulting firm that provides geological services to the industry and private landowners, as well as prospect generation and oil and gas exploration across the state.

In addition, Brad is the Vice President and a principal partner in Chautauqua Energy Drilling Inc, a registered operating company who drills oil and natural gas wells primarily in western New York and northwestern Pennsylvania.

Please feel free to pass this information along to anyone who might be interested in attending.

Please note that the early bird registration deadline is Friday November 12, 2010.
