The Penn Dixie site is a unique, world class resource that is right here, in our own back yard. Join us on Saturday September 26th for a day of fossil collecting and astronomy. We will meet at the Penn Dixie site at 4:00 p.m. where we will collect fossils until 7 PM (duskish) then you can stay and gaze into the heavens to view sunspots, planets and constellations using an array of high-powered telescopes. Food, Pop and snacks will be provided by BAPG for the event and will be served between about 5 and 6 PM. This event is kid-friendly and will be open to all so bring a friend, family member or colleague. Door prizes will be awarded as well so bring tools to chip out a trilobite, a pair of safety glasses and a friend and let’s have fun!
This event will be free to attendees. Registration is appreciated but not required.
