A variety of corporations are providing financial support and exhibits for this major educational event. Earth Science Day is a popular event for students and families to learn what geologists and earth scientists do, the importance of the earth sciences to society, and the many and varied career opportunities that exist in the earth sciences. This is a great opportunity to meet geologists and learn the important role they play in our society.

Drilling and rock coring demonstrations will be conducted by Earth Dimensions at 11 AM and 2:30 PM and 25-30 exhibitors will be introducing the public to geology and the earth sciences.
Braun-Ruddick Seismograph staff will be talking about Western New York Earthquakes and what causes  earthquakes. Past & Present Rock Shop & Museum will be selling geology items, plus there will be viewing of sunspots through filtered telescopes, fossil collecting, and more.
Earth Science Day is a great family, scout, school event, and for
children & adults of all ages! The exhibits are FREE and fossil collecting is $9 each non-member adults, children 12 & under are $7, children 2 and under & Penn Dixie members are free. Collectors may keep all the fossils they find. No pre-registration is required. The event will be held rain or shine. A food vendor will be on site selling hot dogs and beverages.
