An educational day filled with the exploration of some of New Yorks coolest geology. Little Rock City is one of several areas in Cattaraugus County displaying a quartz conglomerate which is 300 million years old. There is a one mile long self‐guided hiking trail where the conglomerate can be explored. Some of the out crop reaches up to 60 feet tall! We will meet around 10 am to start the hike, have a picnic lunch (self), and finish up the afternoon with more hiking and exploring. BAPG will provide refreshments.
